Hip-Hop titan, Priddy Ugly has finally released his highly anticipated third studio album, ‘DUST’.
Last year, Priddy Ugly announced that ‘DUST’ will serve as his third and final album after dedicating 15 years to the game.
“It’s been 15 years. That’s 3 albums and 3 mix-tapes. “Dust will be the final album by Priddy Ugly. Thank you for your patience” ,he shared.
In a separate post, Priddy Ugly shared a carousel of nostalgic memories and heartfelt messages on his timeline, detailing and reflecting on his journey thus far.
The award-winning lyricist hangs up the mic with a 14-track oeuvre that is simply described as “an earnest reflection of life”. The album comprises contributions from the likes of Herc Cut The Lights, Maglera Doe Boy, Tyson Sybateli, Zulu Mecca, Blxckie, Ginger Trill, Thato Saul, K.Keed and MashBeatz.
Priddy Ugly dropped four lead singles ahead of the project namely ‘Ntja’ka’ which received critical acclaim shortly after its release and is now accompanied with visuals. He then dropped his singles ‘So Disrespectful’, ‘I Ain’t Got The Answers’ and ‘No Plans’ along with a visualiser.
‘DUST’ comes after Priddy Ugly’s debut album, 2021’s ‘SOIL’, followed by ‘MUD’ which was released in 2022.
Priddy Ugly has made an incredible impact on South African Hip-Hop with his consistent lyricism, multilingual songwriting, versatility, and solid lyrical repertoire.
