Musician TheLastLetter has released her debut EP titled ‘The Pink Room’ a project that includes three previously released singles from 2022 and 2023.
The first of these singles is ‘Sad’ a melodic Trap style emotion filled Ballad, followed by a hard hitting R&B female empowerment anthem titled ‘Nice Gyal’ and the most recent single an Afro-Soul love song called ‘Pray For Me’. The project features three additional unreleased tracks as well.
'The Pink Room' explores themes of self love, romance as well as dealing with pain and hurt not only associated with romantic heartbreak, all packaged in a multi genre project that travels through Pop, Trap-Soul, Afro-Soul and R&B ensuring that there just might be a song in there for everyone.
"Each song on the project is letter to myself, turned to song. I started this project during lockdown in 2020 when I had a lot of time to think and write in my bedroom, I was still studying in varsity at the time but when I told the project idea to Zino it wasn't long before I hopped on a plane to Cape Town to start recording, it's been 3 years of tweaking the songs, making new ones with Liielow, finding myself and building the confidence to release, I know there's never a right time, the right time is the time you just go for it ... and for me that time is now,” says TheLastLetter.
