By @SeptemberEleven on 01/12/2024 in Projects You Should Hear

Veteran South African Hip-Hop producer Beatmochini’s new project consists of remixes of popular South African Hip-Hop songs such as Loatinover’s breakout hit ’Sosh Plata’ featuring 25K and Thapelo Ghutra, Khuli Chana’s 2011 hit single ‘Tswakstikem’, Cassper Nyovest’s ‘Balmain’ from his latest album 'Solomon' as well as AKA’s steamy ‘Mass Country’ album cut ‘Dangerous’ featuring Blxckie and Nadia Nakai.

The producer also reimagines Afro-Pop artist Nomfundo Moh’s massive hit ‘Phakade Lami’ featuring Sha Sha and Ami Faku. Sjava’s ‘Umcebo’ also gets the remix treatment on the project.

‘Fuck An Algorithm’ also features some original songs produced by Beatmochini such as ‘Arabela’ by Towdee Mac featuring Ginger Trill and Stige Lebaka.

Beatmochini aka Trompie is a seasoned producer who was one of the pioneers of the Pretoria Hip-Hop scene, he's worked closely with Khuli Chana, producing songs like 'Never Grow Up' and 'Maje'. Beatmochini is still active and churns out quality music at a rapid rate. The ‘Fuck An Algorithm’ project is proof he still has his finger on the pulse of the game and remains a student.
