By @Ntsika on 01/05/2024 in Music

To welcome 2024, rappers K Keed and Orish took to instagram to share their latest short film which is undoubtedly a promo for their recent project ‘Mgaranto’, the beauty of the short film is that it is a project worked on by a young team of creatives from the Director of Photography Rofhiwa Kutama and Ghilian to the scriptwriters Eziah.

The Mgaranto Spaza Shop project, unveiled late last year, received further insight from K Keed in an Instagram post. In her revelation, Keed delves into the essence of "umGaranto," expressing her intention to channel the spirit of the beloved YoTV Land characters Gundi no Mazwi. Beyond mere entertainment, the project is a repository of invaluable gems, offering not only laughter but also practical wisdom for navigating the complexities of everyday life. Deeply rooted in her Xhosa upbringing and the cultural nuances of her community, K Keed's artistic endeavor acts as a bridge connecting the rich past with the dynamic present. With this innovative approach, Keed extends a heartfelt invitation to her audience to embark on a nostalgic journey, encouraging them to embrace the profound lessons and contagious laughter interwoven into the very fabric of her latest musical venture with Orish.
