We caught up with Amapiano star Khanyisa about working with inDrive for their Layita Khayelitsha campaign which aims to light up the Cape Town township of Khayelitsha, bringing safety and hope through the power of music and community support.
‘Layita Khayelitsha’, a song by Khanyisa featuring Ice Beats and Sbuda Maleather, released exclusively for inDrive, captures the essence of the campaign, inviting people to stream the song until January 31st, 2024 (the campaign started on the 24th of November) on DSPs Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music etc.
For every 2000 streams of the track during the campaign period, inDrive pledges to install a solar light in Khayelitsha. This campaign aims to combat the challenges faced by the community due to insufficient street lighting and frequent power outages which significantly impact safety and security.
Simply by streaming the track, those listening are making a difference - and the more they stream, the more they are helping.
