Yemi Alade Explores Amapiano With "Mamapiano" EP to Wrap Up 2023

Nigerian Afropop star, Yemi Alade has capped off yet another successful year with the release of her latest EP, "Mamapiano," a four-track project that ventures into the South African dance genre, Amapiano. In a departure from her usual style, Yemi Alade expressed her excitement about experimenting with the genre, stating, "These four tracks carry rhythm and melodies that accompany you everywhere regardless of the occasion."


The EP showcases Yemi Alade's versatility, with tracks like 'Mind Ova Mata' which infuses gospel-inspired melodies, while 'EFCC' brings a party-leaning vibe. The standout track, 'Ladies (Get Up),' is a genre-blending cocktail, incorporating Afrobeats, dance, Amapiano, hip hop, and pop, reflecting Yemi Alade's musical experience. 'Ogini' rounds off the EP, encouraging listeners to savor the moment and indulge in celebration.
