In collaboration with Hunter's Cider, South African musicians Boohle and Ch’cco have released visuals for their songs ‘It’s About Time’ and ‘Change Process’.
The tracks were launched last month and feature a refreshed take on South African classics. The music was launched as part of Hunter's Cider's summer campaign, Refresh Summer, in which the brand launched two Hunter’s Limited-Edition Refresh can each featuring the artists.
Inspired by Kwaito classics, Hunter’s Cider has refreshed summer by bringing Boohle and Ch’cco into studio to remix Boom Shaka’s It’s About Time and Zola 7’s Ghetto Fabulous. Pairing music with Hunter’s Cider Refreshment, Boohle and Ch’cco also feature on two limited edition 440ml cans that show off innovation and reveal a refreshed soundtrack for Dezemba; with Boohle on the Hunter’s Gold can and Ch’cco on the Hunter’s Limited-Edition Refresh can.
Going behind the boards in studio, both Boohle and Ch’cco creatively narrate how their Hunter’s Cider Refreshed songs for summer came about in their visual depiction of both tracks. Each music video brings summer to life and showcases live orchestra performances from both artists.
Sharing her excitement for the refreshed Boom Shaka track, 'It’s About Time', Boohle had this to say on the newly released music visuals, “We had an incredible time in studio refreshing these classic South African songs from iconic artists who have inspired our music careers. Together with Hunter’s Cider, we were able to create a Dezemba soundtrack, add refreshment to summer, and now bring it all to life with these high-definition moving visuals.”
Ch’cco, who refreshed Zola 7’s track 'Ghetto Fabulous', went on to add “Shout out to Hunter’s for bringing our South African summer two refreshed songs and for featuring us on two Hunter’s Limited-Edition Refresh 440ml cans. Both visuals perfectly depict the magic experienced in studio with our icons – who inspired our refreshed music and brought to life, a new wave of Kwaitopiano.”
Ensuring the year ends off on a high note for all, Hunter’s will bring these refreshed songs to life at two explosive Hunter’s Refresh Experiences set to take place in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Headlined by Ch’cco and Boohle, each Hunter’s Refresh Experience will bring the best in South African music through an amplified line-up that will kick off summer with a bang!
