South African Pop sensation Tyla has just dropped three new singles, ‘On And On’, ‘Truth Or Dare’ and ‘Butterflies’.
These releases come after Tyla gradually shared a captivating roll-out of teasers for each song on socials throughout the week.
Tyla recently confirmed that after two years of working on her album, she is set to finally drop it early next year. The forthcoming body of work is titled ‘TYLA’.
‘On And On’, ‘Truth Or Dare’ and ‘Butterflies’ serve as additional lead singles off of Tyla’s upcoming album, following her seismic hit ‘Water’ and its remix featuring Travis Scott. The singer has released a total of five songs out of the 14-track oeuvre.
When speaking on ‘Butterflies’, Tyla expresses the following.
“Butterflies is a very emotional song. It’s a new style. People really haven’t heard me like that before but I wanted that sound on the album especially just to show my versatility and range”, Tyla explained.
Tyla later shared a backstory on the creation process behind ‘On And On’.
“So I made ‘On And On’ in Joburg and I was actually supposed to go out to Konka or something but we ended up not going and me and my friends ended up making this song. I just wanted to make an old school R&B vibe with ‘piano elements and after I made that song, me and my friends were just jaiving in the studio the whole night. It’s still one of my favourites.”, she excitedly shared.
Last night, Tyla unveiled the official cover art for her upcoming album, ‘TYLA’ which is currently available for pre-save.
