Dee Xclsv, Ofentic & Huge Da Oracle Drop Their Much Anticipated Debut EP ‘9'

By @MasechabaKganyapa on 11/29/2023 in Projects You Should Hear

After teasing us with two debut singles in 2022, the talented trio of Dee Xclsv , Ofentic & Huge Da Oracle unveil their much anticipated debut offering tagged, ‘9'.

The Rustenburg trio first linked up in 2022 and gave us a taste of what they could do when they came together, with 'Shut It Down' and their sophomore single 'Deny'.

"9 is derived from the company name The Whole Nine, which is the entertainment hub that we have been pushing over the past year. We wanted to come together and do something that's never been done before in Rustenburg before, in terms of creating a high end , chic entertainment hub that can act as an appropriate depiction of Rustenburg entertainment” says the boys.

'9' does have a Hip-Hop centric sound, with the opening song 'The Whole Nine' starting the project off with honest raps and a soothing, melodic hook. But as you delve deeper into the EP, you start to realise how diverse the project is, with songs like 'Sa Nkgopotsa' and 'Soft' giving you a nostalgic Kwaito sound, but without sacrificing the raps and brought together by more melodic hooks.

'9' TRACKLIST

1 - The Whole Nine

2 - Shut It Down

3 - Sa Nkgopotsa
