Cwepheshe Returns With His Latest EP ‘uCwepheshe 2.0’

SA emerging Hip-Hop artist, Cwepheshe is back with a new addition to his ‘uCwepheshe’ series. The first instalment, was released exclusively on Soundcloud and now a new and improved version tagged ‘uCwepheshe 2.0’ has dropped. 

uCwepheshe means “the professional” and Cwepheshe changed his name from J Shoddy, to represent that his craft is now a profession.

Based on a true story, ‘uCwepheshe 2.0’ offers a more concise and personal narrative of Cwepheshe's life. 

Described as "sounding like an album" by his peers, this second edition takes listeners on an emotional rollercoaster right from the opening track, ‘Angali,’ featuring the South African singer Leynarthy, along with rising stars Blue Pappi and LaCabra. 

This African Neo-soul gem sets the tone, addressing life's challenges and Cwepheshe's commitment to accountability.

The EP strikes a balance between high-energy tracks and introspective melodies. Including the eponymous track, ‘uCwepheshe,’ featuring HIIK3Y and Frank Miino. 

Songs like ‘eGoli,’ featuring Sastii, delve into the struggles artists face when transitioning from the hood to the bustling city of Johannesburg. It's a song of hope, encouraging young dreamers to pursue their ambitions despite the obstacles.

Being a part of the Qwellers movement, ‘uCwepheshe 2.0’ features a lineup of rising stars, including Lowfeye, LaCabra, Blue Pappi, Curfew630, Frank Miino, HIIK3Y, Shizze, Sastii, and the emerging talented vocalist Leynarthy.
