Gee D’Art Drops New EP, ‘FLY’ In Collaboration With H’ & them, Given Da Chief, Mass The Difference + More

By @MasechabaKganyapa on 10/30/2023 in Projects You Should Hear

Gee D’Art whose birth name is Azwifarwi Mukwevho is a South African rising producer and artist who spent the whole of 2023 curating his 6th Extended Play EP titled, ‘FLY’ featuring rappers H’ & them, El Moose, Given Da Chief, King Lutendo, JAYSTEEZE and Mass The Difference.

‘FLY’ EP is carefree and makes you feel like you’re above the clouds as expressed by H & them on the intro track ‘FLY’.

While the last track titled ‘Aluwani’ featuring King Lutendo meaning “grow,” it is how one feels as they wrap up listening to the project especially when they reflect back on the conundrums they faced in their lives.

“During the making of this project Ree, the co-producer emphasised that I take care of myself spiritually and that process is well expressed in 'HONEY GLAZED' featuring Given De Chief & Luu” says, Gee D’Art.

The title of the EP derives from the slang, which is best described as being fashionable and cool, which represents Gee D’Art’s style, however the EP has a much more deeper meaning and anyone can derive their own. 'FLY' is best described as chasing your dreams and not having a ceiling to your dreams.
