Independent record label, distributor and publisher, EMPIRE delivers a 9-track album ‘HOUSE of EMPIRE’ which consists of remixes of EMPIRE artist songs by DJs from different parts of the world.
The compilation features dance remixes of top hits from Fireboy DML, Black Sherif, June Freedom, L.A.X., Clemzy, Asake and Kizz Daniel. On tracks such as ’Someone’, ‘YAWA’ and ‘LIMBO’ just to name a few.
The remixes are done by producers from different parts of the globe, and the name of the city each remixer is from is incorporated into the title. Cities represented include Paris, Lagos, Los Angeles, Pretoria, Cairo, London, Rio de Janeiro and San Francisco.
Pretoria is represented by Amapiano producer DJ Melzi, while Lagos is represented by Clayton Williams.
With ‘HOUSE of EMPIRE’, the label aims to bridge two diverse regional cultures to the global scale. The album has sonic elements including Amapiano, Phonk and other subgenres of House.
