In their new single, Songø, the band whose members hail from Europe and Africa, fuse Afro-Pop, EDM with Amapiano's log drum. The lyrics on 'Vulindlela' are sung in IsiXhosa by the band's vocalist Sisanda Myataza who's pleading with God to show her the way.
According to a press release shared with SlikourOnLife, the song is meant to be "a poignant reflection of love, loss, and the enduring power of music to heal".
Alongside Sisanda Myataza, Songø which was formed in 2019, consists of Mael Loeiz (Keyboards/MPC/Percs/Vocals), Petit Piment (Drums/Ngoni/Vocals) and Yoann Minkoff (Guitar/Bass/Vocals)
Songø has performed at European festivals such as the Transmusicales, Arte Concert, KEXP, and Eurosonic.
