The BET Hip-Hop Awards have been honouring the MC’s music and artistry that keeps the Hip-Hop culture evolving with the ceremony’s rap freestyle series titled ‘The Cypher’.
Recently, BET Africa has revealed their list of South African MCs set to take over the 2023 BET Cypher.
This year’s MCs include Maggz, Tyson Sybateli, Sizwe Alakine, Blaklez, Okmalumkoolkat, Loatinover Pounds, Money Baddoo, Mochen, Roiii, Sauwcy, Lolli Native, Flow Jones Jnr., Phantom Steeze. To celebrate 50 years of Hip-Hop, The Cypher includes a special producer-curated set by pH Raw X.
The full airing of the BET Cypher will take place on Wednesday, 11 October on DSTV.
