Cape Town-bred rapper, Mr Heinz has dropped a new EP titled ‘Bishop Lavis’.
Located 15 kilometres east of the City of Cape Town, the suburb of Bishop Lavis is known for its poverty and gang violence on the Cape Flats. On this carefully orchestrated EP, Mr Heinz sets the record straight and shines a light on the good that comes out of Bishop Lavis.
The 6-track project includes contributions from Maglera Doe Boy, Youngsta CPT, K.Keed, Bravo Le Roux and more.
“Myself and Shaney Jay wanted to create something unique with my Afrikaans sound but with trap sound. We started recording in 2022 after the release of my debut album ‘The Republic Of Ghamstad’. The vision behind this new project was to create a complete project that’s based on Bishop Lavis, the home of Mr Heinz.”
