Today marks the official release date of Limpopo-born producer J-Smash's debut album, ‘Toxic Perfectionism’.
The 12-track body of work includes contributions from Emtee, Amanda Black, Kwesta, Stogie T, Maglera Doe Boy, Saudi, Youngsta CPT, Samthing Soweto, Thato Saul, Flow Jones Jnr. and more.
A few months ago, J-Smash announced the now new project with a compilation video of most of the artists who made an appearance on his album. The video includes older clips of him receiving co-signs from the likes of Stogie T, A-Reece and Kwesta.
“After countless hours, self-discovery, and overcoming inner battles for close to 2 and a half years, it's time we embrace imperfections, celebrate growth, and find solace in the beauty of artistic vulnerability,”, he captioned.
In June, J-Smash dropped the first lead single off of the project,‘The Truth’ featuring Thato Saul, Flow Jones Jnr, Youngsta CPT and Kwesta which was later accompanied with visuals. He followed up the release with a soulful offering, ‘Friends’featuring Emtee and Amanda Black.
Over the past few months, J-Smash has managed to captivate his audience with an impressive roll-out as he gradually revealed his star-studded roster of contributors.
