By @MasechabaKganyapa on 08/02/2023 in Music

Ahead of his forthcoming project ‘Mkabayi’ which is set to release on the 25th of August, Aubrey Qwana gifts his fans with the 3rd lead single titled ‘Tshitshi Lami’.

The song follows the stellar album announcement trailer which had fans' heads twisting and turning in excitement for this album with one comment on YouTube stating, “An album?!?I can finally wrap up my healing journey…”.

‘Tshitshi Lami’ is an easy-listening song that touches on the Zulu tradition where they celebrate females preserving their virginity until marriage hence the word ‘Itshitshi’ which is a word used to describe a female that is still a virgin. The song is a celebratory anthem for ‘amatshitshi’ and symbolizes purity.

The track sets the tone further for the album as Aubrey Qwana infuses the traditional Zulu sounds known as Maskandi with his signature Afro Pop, this can be heard with the guitar which is commonly used in Maskandi music.
