SPeeKa’s ‘Kasi Rap Records’ Show Moves To SABC 1

Soweto producer and Kasi Rap powerhouse SPeeKa’s ‘Kasi Rap Records’ TV show is moving to SABC 1, the national channel announced on social media today.

The last two seasons of Kasi Rap Records aired on GauTV and featured interviews and freestyles with some of Kasi Rap’s most prominent and emerging voices.

The move to SABC 1, which comes with a bigger audience, was celebrated by Hip-Hop fans on socials. It’s a victory for both Hip-Hop and SPeeKa whose YouTube series Sotra Cyphers has been a platform for rappers to showcase their skills to thousands of fans.

Kasi Rap Records will premiere on SABC 1 on Saturday, 3 August at 18:00. Be sure to tune in.
