Following the success of his critically acclaimed banger, ‘Ngingozi’ alongside Professor, Zulu Mkhathini has returned with a follow up single titled ‘Shayimoto.’
‘Shayimoto’ includes a vocal contribution from Zee Nxumalo and production is handled by Bongs Da Vick and Humankindthedj.
‘Shayimoto’ serves as the second offering from his upcoming solo dance project titled ‘Matariano’ which slated for the fourth quarter of the year. Its official release date is yet to be confirmed.
Steady building on the Matariano sound dubbed ‘KwaitoTech’, the eclectic sonic fuses elements of Kwaito, Amapiano and AfroTech. ‘Shayimoto’ is made up of rhythmic percussive elements, dramatic piano chords with edgy synths. Melodies make memories and that is evident in the addictively catchy chorus and explosive rap verses.
