Keanu Perumal, popularly known as 'KP KingDrip' and Vuyiswa Reginald Thomo, popularly known as 'Reggie 'Madawg' were unknowingly on their own parallel musical lanes for many years perfecting their craft.
But now they come together and producing music as a duo, and from their latest release ‘Fairies’, the artists have now dropped a visualiser.
The vision for this music video was to make ‘Fairies’ a cinematic experience not just another Hip Hop music video.
“Listen to it and it's almost like you're living in that movie with KP KingDrip and Reggie Madawg as they tell you a story. With those harmonic vocals in the background and cinematic atmosphere, it was easy for us to tap into that movie scene and turn it into a song,” says KP Kingdrip.
They take the listener into their lifestyle and the challenges they face as lone wolfs in a gate-kept industry. Telling us how they had to break the locks themselves and being clear on being the best there is in the South African scene, “because we know how much work we've put into our music over a long period of time. You are just witnessing the tip of the iceberg.”
