Verseless Wants You To ‘Smile’ In His New EP

By @MasechabaKganyapa on 06/21/2023 in Projects You Should Hear

Music producer, Verseless takes on the artist path with his first instalment in a series of EP’s titled, ’Smile’.

The EPs lean heavily on the DNA of Amapiano, showcasing a different alternative house based sound that fuses a lot of elements from other genres such as Pop, Tech and Afrobeat, to name a few.

‘Smile’ is a collection of songs that are meant as a cathartic exercise for the producer to invoke feelings of elation, comfort and a vehicle of joy as weapons of fortitude against his battle with depression. While setting you in the mood for groove.

The music rests on a bedrock of uplifting sonics and upbeat melodies and arrangements that carry the narratives and themes, with the centrepiece being the project’s namesake.

‘Smile’ acts as a catalyst for others that share in their struggles to confront and overcome them in the spirit of leaning into happiness as a disposition, a choice, that comes with the kind of soundtrack in the form of this project setting the tempo.

Verseless is set to release four EPs with this first instalment embodying the overarching message of incorrigible optimism in the wake of everything intended to obstruct it.
