Eastern Cape-born vocalist and songwriter Yallunder has a message of hope for her fans in the form of a new single titled ‘11:11 Makukhanye’.
After many years of being signed to record labels, Yallunder has finally taken it upon herself to continue her music career as an independent artist. This talented songstress has many accolades behind her name and has every intention of maintaining her winning streak.
‘11:11 Makukhanye’ comes as her first single that will be released from her debut album as an independent artist titled ‘KUM’ and is an ode to her career and the journey it’s taken.
Makukhanye is a direct translation of a Xhosa word that means “Let there be light”. The song speaks about her relationship with God as she pleads for guidance and for her light to shine in everything she does.
Yallunder believes that ‘11:11 Makukhanye’ will be a song that many will resonate with and find solace in as the artist has always written her music from a place of vulnerability with the aim of evoking strong emotions in her supporters.
