Skwatta Kamp is set to drop a new album titled ‘SVN’ on April 27th, 2023. The project will be the group’s seventh and final body of work.
The 14-song project includes contributions from the likes of Max-Hoba, Junior, Assessa & Payseen, as well as Aewon Wolf.
Earlier today, the veteran Hip-Hop group took to socials to announce the upcoming project’s release date by sharing visuals which highlight significant moments in their journey, such as when Zola 7 presented them their Best Rap Award in 2003 and the group landing their major hit song, ‘Umoya’ that very same year.
In the video, Nemza is seen rapping his respective verse from one amongst four lead singles from the album titled ‘In The Name Of Love’ featuring Aewon Wolf. The songs ‘Leave Me Alone’, ‘Umama Akekho’ and ‘There You Go’ were also released ahead of the album.
“When we started on this journey we didn’t imagine the game would take such a positive trajectory”, Skwatta Kamp captioned as they went on to express their gratitude to everyone who believed in taking the culture to new heights.
