It has been over 11 months since the passing of talented Rapper Riky Rick, during his time on earth he took time to establish a variety of platforms that allowed the talented youth to be exposed to a wider market and support structure within the African continent and further. Amongst these many establishments and collaborations, he has given us the biggest gift of them all, CottonFest as they continue to uplift the youth by giving them a chance to perform on stage whilst receiving the much needed recognition from their peers in the industry.
The festival has announced a gathering this Thursday where they will not only celebrate the legacy of the late artist but then as well as embrace the hip-hop culture as they plan a variety of things to honour Riky Rick. This is much needed event for fans and industry peers as they get to also pay their respects to the family for their major loss as well as live up to his energy as he always brought the mood up with his hyperactive ways on stage. He always found a way to raise people's spirits when they are feeling down.
As Riky always said, "Cotton Eaters Never Die, We Multiply" so let us continue his legacy by honouring what he stood for and celebrating his life as a whole when he was still on earth.
