Since her breakthrough in 2016, Babes Wodumo has experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows, and has somehow found the strength to keep going. Her latest single with TNS featuring Sykes, 'Indoda no Sisi', encapsulates this spirit of perserverence.
In the song, she sings about a man and a woman who pray to God for forgiveness as they live their last days on earth, for rushing to leave this world as it carries all their problems. She then personalises the lyrics as she refers to herself having a strong desire to leave worldly problems and go to heaven.
The song has a sorrowful tone and one could empathise while listening to it, if not, relate. Her lyrics describe how life has been full of obstacles, that as much as she has been kicked down, she has been prayed for. She continues to ask God for forgiveness throughout the song.
