Durban born, Johannesburg based minibus taxi driver Skhindi has released his debut song eTaxini to excited fans. Taking to social media to reveal his unique rapping talent; Skhindi broke out on the internet last year and sparked music fan interest with braggy verses that showed off his underlying skill.
Bringing trap music to the rank, eTaxini is an explosive Zulu Hip Hop song that showcases the elements of South Africa’s busy streets as experienced in a taxi. The whistling melody in the beat plus the iconic popular minibus known as Quantums, hooting throughout the track form the unique Hip hop trap sound that's never been heard before. Going back to back, Skhindi and Sjava easily exchange rhymes in vernac – delivering an unmatched collaboration for Skhindi’s debut.
“I’m so happy to finally debut my music talents on this dope song, especially at the top of 2023. eTaxini is my dedication to life in a taxi as a driver and a commuter. It allows me to bring my life on the road and hip hop together – a perfect combination of all my passions” – said Skhindi on the excitement of releasing his first song.
