LucasRaps is finally back in studio as he blessed with a new single today titled '22 In 23' with Patrickxxlee and KindlyNxsh as a token of celebration towards his birthday. The song speaks on the pain that he has experienced and the journey he is currently embarking on as life has changed and only hard work can get further in life and even closer to his dreams. He further expressed his dear love for rap in the lines "...I can't complain. I am overlapping in a different lane. Don't take much to see that this rapping is inside of my vains.." as well as his vision as he understands what it takes for him to be at the top as he learned from his past mistakes. He further speaks on the value of time as he feels money cannot replace the time he wasted even though his rates have went up. This comes off as huge tip to many artists not to undermine the value of time and utilise every minute and second they have to grow and improve their craft.
This showcases a more matured and grown up LucasRaps as he understands life as a whole as the wisdom is tracked in some of the lines in the song mainly the one above. He is then joined by Kindlynxsh with the 'bridging hook' where he sings on situations of being a bad boy and how he just finds himself falling back into those traps. Patrickxxlee then takes over the mic with the 'El Classico' bars as he raps on the betrayal feels from his peers as some people continue to mispaint his words and image hence he says "...I am done with public relations. Received too many compliments from all of my biggest haters...". He further raps on his vision for the year and his spiritual belief "...God got me so get yours by December...".
The song then ends with a message from XXXTENTACION as he speaks on his death and how he wants the youth to receive the message in his art. This song is honestly different as all artists gave us a taste on the type of work to expect in the year. It is also a different sound for LucasRaps as most drops are trap based.
