DJ and producer, CA MA GU teams up with uManamathela to release a 9-track EP tagged ‘From Cape To Heaven’. The project contains artist contributions from Gaffi, Mabuda Banger, Inkosi Yamandebele and Shwelly M.
This Amapiano body of work is one of a kind because of the slang in the songs, the stories, the subject matter, as well as the ratchet vibes within the songs that scream ‘Cape Town!’.
When listening to this project, you will hear that it ends in a holy manner; a gospel-influenced song and a song about love which is heavenly. Gospel and real love exist in "heaven" which is how the title came about.
“Ever since we started working on this project, I've been on float mode. I mean a project is a big deal for me. In my mind I had expected to have at least 2 or 3 songs out by this time of the year, but a whole project? I'm proud of the work we've put in with the team. I'm happy with each and every song from this project, this one is for Cape Town. We've arrived, this is only the beginning of great things for the Amapiano culture”, expresses CA MA GU.
“From Cape To Heaven is the beginning of greatness. It’s the key to a lot of doors. Considering that it’s our first body of work as producers, it is in a way quite overwhelming. Working on the EP was a huge game changer for me as it widened my circle and I got introduced to a whole different level of talent and I am super proud to have worked with all of these artists. I look forward to what the masses will have to say in response to the project”, states uManamathela.
