J-Smash brings you the visuals to his lead single 'Pheli' for his forthcoming album. He doesn't come alone though as he enlists the talents of Pitori maverick 25K new kid on the block, female rapper Buzzi Lee on a track fittingly titled “Pheli”. The song was released in July 2022, and has been very well received and subsequently dubbed a street anthem by those who have embraced it. Fans have been raving about the aggressive yet catchy raps of newcomer, Buzzi Lee, who simply stole the show on this record.
“Pheli” Music Video sees J-Smash giving us animated visuals that showcase the creative narration of the “Pheli” in a Game Arcade make-believe world. This is a continuation from J-Smash’s song 2021 song called “Stick Up”, with these visuals telling us the entire story up until now. Hip Hop has not had many animated Music Videos, with the last one we can remember coming from Godessa’s “Set Your Mind Ablaze” back in the day.
This is the first single J-Smash is releasing from his upcoming album in 2023 and it will set the tone for what we may expect from the Venda born Music Producer. J-Smash has perfected the art of teaming up Hip Hop artists to create amazing moments for this treasured genre. With Buzzi Lee & 25K on the song, we have been given many more reasons to believe that SA Hip Hop is alive and well.
