PDotO and Blaklez dropped their second joint project ‘Lost Diamonds II’ in October. In our interview with the PTA hip-hip pioneers, they unpack the album, discussing the process of working with other artists, a number of them from the new generation of PTA hip-hop such as Tyson Sybateli, Jay Jody and Bugzito. They share stories behind working with Tyson and Maggz.
The duo also touch on their upcoming solo albums and the less-discussed issue of ageism in SA hip-hop where older artists are almost outcasted by the game and told to call it quits.
But before all that, they engage in a heated discussion with Slikour about what it takes to be considered a dope artist.
