@MrJazziQ Continues To Showcase New Amapiano Talent on ‘@BlackisbrownEnt Compilation, Vol. 2’

By @SeptemberEleven on 11/28/2022 in Projects You Should Hear

A year after the release of their successful album, ‘Black Is Brown Compilation Vol. 1’, which spawned hits like ‘Halala’ and ‘Hade’, Mr JazziQ’s label Black Is Brown, returns with ‘Vol. 2’.

Black is Brown kicked things off with the pre-order of the compilation that went live on the 18th of November with the lead single ‘Mozambique’ by Justin 99 x Star’Jazz x Mr Jazziq featuring 10x Guluva, Yung Silly Coon and Pills.

Justin 99 talks about how the lead single came about and shares:

“Load shedding is what inspired the song ‘Mozambique’. We had loadshedding at 10pm and the lights came back at midnight. As soon as the lights came back, I went into studio and started working and as soon as the boys heard the beat, Guluva, Yung Silly Coon and Pills, they wanted to record instantly. The beat has an islandy vibe and we wanted to go for an island theme with the lyrics and that’s where Mozambique came from. Pills started and everyone followed.”

The 19-track project features emerging amapiano talent such as Zan’Ten, papi_sa, Sgija Disciples, Mema_Percent among several others.
