Stogie T dropped a new freestyle last might on Instagram. In the freestyle, his wordplay is based on SABC 1 shows, and he captioned it ‘SABCsiOn’. The freestyle is done over an amapiano-infused instrumental.
Some sample lines:
“My studio mix fresh/ Made my debut on Phat Joe before Sbu’s TS/ Fought for the remote/ Documentaries on PRO/ The game’s so lame, you S'gudi Snays niggas a joke/ get the twanging on rap shit/ They asking me, mchana uVelaphi?”
The last line on the freestyle, “Only Big Zulu we acknowledge is Bhambatha”, seems to be directed at Big Zulu who dissed Stogie T and many other rappers in his ‘150 Bars (Ke Hip Hop Dawg)’ diss track which he dropped in August.
Stogie T clarified in an interview with TshisaLIVE why he didn’t respond to Big Zulu’s diss the way Kwesta, Cassper Nyovest and K.O did.
“It’s weird, it's hard to call it a diss track. I battle rap as well. So when you are on that stage you are battle rapping and all the rules go out the window except for [the] physical, don't hurt anyone. I respect the sport of dissing,” Stogie T told TshisaLIVE.
