A-Reece and Marcus Harvey finally release their highly anticipated single 'Dreams' as they have been long teasing a collaboration together. The single for me from a standalone point of view is artistic although there isn't much 'narrative' value that I am getting from the single. As we know A-Reece for highly narrative music and no limitations with how he tells his story but in this song, it felt as if he held back a lot and there was so much that could have been done from a storytelling perspective. It felt more or less of a summary and I know that he could have said more.
The mellow opening by Marcus Harvey was honestly pulling but I felt somehow it was prolonged from my analysis and do take note that this is my opinion and not of the platform. The hook did though serve its purpose as it subtly introduced the 2nd hook from A-Reece and I love how the two kept on complimenting each other from transition to transition.
It is a nice song, don't get me wrong but a lot more could have been done once again from a narrative perspective. I do though congratulate the two artists on their collaborative effort and look forward to many more as I know they will continue making artistic music that will live for long.
