Bilmar was born in Nairobi, Kenya and was raised in Pretoria, South Africa by Rwandan parents as a political refugee. Based in Arcadia since 2002, bilmar has managed to find a haven to hone his musical gift.
Bilmar began singing at the tender age of 6 and has been active ever since making it currently 18 years of singing. Having invested countless of hours into his craft, Bilmar has reached a sound unlike any singer heard of on the continent and internationally, respectively. His confidence truly is evident as he has taken a decision to release a 16 track Mixtape without a single feature. Such a feat has never been achieved before by a singer in South Africa.
His background story along with the achievements he is actively pursuing has resulted in what we believe as a story worth narrating. 'The Faded Colours' Mixtape is now available on all streaming platforms.
