Bipolar Love being the first official single released by M.Phasha and it being one of his lighter hearted productions sonically on his debut project ‘My Demo’, it makes poetic sense that it also becomes his first music video instalment to his career. Bipolar Love is a back and forth of emotions that one has after the ending of a relationship, going through the positives and negatives, the bitter and the sweet, giving compliments but also giving conflicting ideas and feelings, a show of polar opposite sentiments.
The music video is a representation of the conflicting dynamic of love through M.Phasha and Nthabeleng’s performance, the contrast is also represented through the colours red and blue as these colours are normally perceived as opposites. The song being part of the 3 Act project ‘My Demo’, coming off “Act 1: Heartbreak Section” which is represented by the colour red, is the beginning of a story line with more to hopefully follow up. Blue is the main colour of the project as it represents the kind of emotions M.Phasha was experiencing when making the project.
