Blaq Diamond has spent a significant amount of time being quiet to an extent where some of us thought that they split as 'DanyaDevs' began doing features as a solo artist. It actually turns out that the cause to their silence is that they were officially independent and trying to navigate as Independent artists in the Music Scene. The duo felt that they had 'outgrown' the label as well as they began having two different 'visions' for the Blaq Diamond brand. They are appreciative of the opportunities that the fellow stable has brought for them but then they felt that it was time they took different paths and shine their brand in further places outside SA.
You can get the full scoop via their interview on 'Podcast and Chill with MacG' below:
Nonetheless, the duo finally broke out of their silence and have since released visuals for a song titled, 'Ilanga'. In the Visuals they break down their departure from their fellow label, Ambitiouz Ent. as you see in one of the scenes where they have MacG and Sol appear as Cameo in the video as well as them being asked about their deal with Ambitiouz. I love the visuals as they celebrate their new journey and as well as them being Independent. I honestly cannot wait to see what they have to give us as Independent artists.
