@PdotO_SA celebrates 4 Year Anniversary for his sophomore album 'Under The Sun'

PDot O has been a name to know since the start of his career in 2017. The talented rapper has over 7 projects under his belt and through these projects he tells the best version of his stories.

PDot O has continued to put on Pretoria rap through his constant collaborations with Blaklez and N'veigh. The storyteller has continued to paint a clear picture of life and how impacted he is by his life challenges. 

After releasing his debut project in 2017 titled 'Devilz Playground' he went on to releasing another album in 2018 titled 'Under the sun' of which just turned 4 this year. The project features the likes of Tamarsha, Reason, The Fraternity and many more talented acts. 

The project spoke to me personally as the it took me back to a time where I was going through a lot as a child but managed to defeat the odds of that as I understand that the situation was not a 'forever thing' if you get what I mean. It allowed me to feel whole and understand more of how people view the world and what exactly it is that people face on a daily basis. I like how each song complements the next as he took a risk in doing a hip-hop sound that not many rappers entertain in this age aside the likes of A-Reece and Shane Eagle. 

I love the 'Outro' as the single will have you in a Summer vibe even in the Winter season. The single titled 'Pholas' took me to a time when 'Kwaito' was the 'it thing' and when everyone was just happy in life with no major limiting thoughts, when everyone just connected with the artistic side of the music and of course understood the value of the art hence the appreciation.

I was very happy to hear that it has been 4 years since the initial release of the album as I feel like it will speak to many especially in this time of 'heavy atmosphere' and limiting 'difficulties'.

The message that I would like to pass on to you is 'No matter what you are going through today, please be strong if not for yourself then for those that love you. Understand that you deserve to be loved and never let anyone make you think otherwise.' This is the message that I gained from listening to the album.
