Nice to hear Revivolution representative Illy Amin coming back with a surprise EP.Already from the introduction you get introduced to the type of artist Illy is with poetic wordplay that clears any doubt that he is one of the best in his generation with the bars.In an unexpected- turn atleast for me - he mixes vernacular on his verses and it's far from water down, infact down the line with more work and one special hit there's a foundation to build a broader audience faster.

Although Illy is easily associated with "rappers rapper" he's lyrics showcase a person thats well rounded as he intelligently pays homage to hood classics like Lebo Mathosa's Spoko or on Thebe where he resuccitates the Flabba written chorus Kwala Boot from Skwatta Kamp's Khut N JoynIt's a 10 mInute EP that is a nice appetizers for Illy Amin starved fans and for new listeners that just want to hear enough to be converted.
