I am cautious of describing a song as 'Afro' anything because it feels like it's too simplistic of a definition of songs that include African elements of any kind. I came to know Algorithm Xar for his unique brand of airy alternative Hip Hop. And yes, "Trust Me" does have elements like African percussions, but I still feel like I'm listening to an Algorithm Xar song, especially in how his vocals come across. Instead of feeling like it's a 'copy and paste' job, this song feels like an artist that's exploring their sonic boundaries.
