Witney. is easily one of the most interesting artists I have met in my short stint in music. She is spiritually aligned and her music embodies manifestation and purpose. Her first offering this year comes via a single titled "Stay Alive", and I think the message she is conveying in this song is one I needed to hear at this very moment. Witney. opens up the song by singing, "You don't know how far you can go if you stay alive". Her vocals have an ambient and airy feel, which gives the song a mantra quality. In terms of the production, everything feels warped which makes for a trance like listening experience. Despite the song being sonically focused, she created different moments in intensity by slightly altering her delivery towards the tail-end of the song. A nice touch that brings you closer to the passion she has for her manifestation.
