THEBOYNAMEDSIMBA's Talks About Being Reborn On His Latest Single Titled "Woke"

By @Lesiba on 03/09/2022 in Music

It is always interesting to see how a hip hop artist goes about making a song that talks about their spirituality. It's something that isn't part of the conversation amongst artists of a younger demographic. "Woke" is THEBOYNAMEDSIMBA's latest single that talks about his faith and I enjoyed how he maintained the same level of creativity we heard on his "Diary of a Sinner, Pt. I" album, especially given that there are not many references in the genre for one to lean on or be inspired by.

“Woke” is a song that is so special to me, especially due to my spiritual awakening in the Christian faith. My friends and I are always debating on the past/current/future social climate of the world. I felt that it was important for me to make this song. I succeeded in capturing the rawness of the lyrics with the simple yet heavy production
