It is always interesting to see how a hip hop artist goes about making a song that talks about their spirituality. It's something that isn't part of the conversation amongst artists of a younger demographic. "Woke" is THEBOYNAMEDSIMBA's latest single that talks about his faith and I enjoyed how he maintained the same level of creativity we heard on his "Diary of a Sinner, Pt. I" album, especially given that there are not many references in the genre for one to lean on or be inspired by.
