"If life was a hotel I'd check out early" - This is the line that touched me the most of both songs.
Music isn't just a job to me. It's a place where I can find refuge. I lean on many artists to say things for me and Sipho The Gift delivered these two songs at a time when I can relate to them most. The two tracks see Sipho The Gift explore feelings of anxiety and fear. It is interesting how the two go hand in hand. I appreciate the vulnerability in these two songs. He was as bare as it gets with lines like "I can tell everyone around me that I love em but I can't say that to myself".
Like the skit at the end of Blessings says,
'get some love in your life. Whether that be another person or just loving yourself.'
