The Cape Doctor, @illRowSA Releases 'Rands In The West' Featuring @natejohnsonsa & @YoungstaCpt

Hip Hop Artist, Producer, Audio Engineer, Videographer, Medical Records founder & Y?GEN affiliate, illRow has blessed us with his final offering for the year featuring, the multi-award winning YoungstaCPT and rising musician Nate Johnson as they set to bring all the 'Rands To The West'.

The single is a follow up to his debut album, The Cape Doctor which was released earlier this year, under Medical Records. The rapper-producer is known for his local hit, ‘Caramba’ which was featured on our very own Incubator compilation project in 2017. illRow gained further recognition when his 2019 hit ‘Main Road Taxi’, which continues to do it’s rounds on national radio, got permanently playlisted on GoodHope FM's The Good Vibes with Ready D.  

 IllRow explains: “This track was made in a heap of inspiration, at a time I was listening to West Coast classics and immediately thought to myself ‘’I need to create something soulful and bouncy at the same time’’. I hit up YZD with ideas for a beat, explained the brief of how I wanted it to sound, he sent me the beat back the next day and I was happy instantly! In the weeks to come I hit up YoungstaCPT and Nate Johnson to accompany me on the song because I felt this beat needed their distinct flavors, when I received the vocals the whole body of work sounded full and perfectly blended."
