Johannesburg's Songstress @nayeayla Is #HotOnTheStreets

Naye Ayla is soul based artist, singer, songwriter and closeted rapper who feels genres are limitations and music is spaceless. Naye is her second name which she opted to use as her stage name. Her stage name "Naye Ayla" is inspired by her love for and connection to the moon. It translates directly to "she too is then might of the moon ".

For Naye, her love for the arts manifested as a child. She wrote songs, which she also sang, and poems on different topics and never stopped from there. Writing, she says, “really pressed the need to express anything bubbling inside me.” Growing up, and to this day, Naye uses writing to make sense of her thoughts, to articulate emotions and make people feel.
