This past weekend, Hennessy, the world’s best-selling cognac, continued to celebrate its global collaboration with the National Basketball Association (NBA) by bringing the spirit of the game to Johannesburg through a pop-up, staged at KONKA, Soweto.
As the first global spirit partner in the franchise’s history, Hennessy introduced an innovative basketball booth that saw local personalities and the public come together to take part in an interactive shootout for ultimate bragging rights. The star-studded lineup of celebs included Pearl Thusi, Scoop Makhathini, Kim Jayde Robinson, 25K, MkayFrash, Tshego Koke, and Moozlie.
"As a brand, we represent worldwide communities," says Lungile Mpharu, Brand Manager of Hennessy SA, "and this collaboration with the NBA permits us to promote a game and a culture that draws people together."
In the evening, guests were treated to a series of performances by famous South African musicians Zakes Bantwini, Sir Trill, and Kitchen Mess. Closing the night, the Hennessy way.
