Cape Town based female rapper Holy Alpha aka Mama Ghost releases her latest single “Iqhawe”. The song features Flash Ikumkani, and serves as an embrace of Alpha's Xhosa culture as South Africa commemorates Heritage Day.

“Iqhawe” is diverse from most of Alpha's music. It is something her fans have been itching to hear from her. On this single, Holy Alpha reveals her vulnerable side and talks about the difficulties she’s been facing as an upcoming artist – which earnestly resonates with most of her fans. “Iqhawe” means hero in Xhosa. Thus, the song's rags to riches theme renders Alpha a hero of sort, since she affirms and comforts listeners of “Iqhawe" facing tribulations. Additionally, “Iqhawe” aligns with Heritage Day’s purpose – to remind one of his roots.
