Nu_Edison is a 28 year old rapper and songwriter based in Johannesburg, South Africa. His musical influences include Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, & Afro Pop. He draws inspiration from the likes of J.Cole, SABA, Kabelo Mabalane, Kendrick Lamar, Khuli Chana, Mick Jenkins, Childish Gambino and more. His style of music can be described as honest, floe-tic, spiritual and playful, which includes a blend of African soul and contemporary hip-hop and urban music. His message is to spread light through his music and to encourage people to embrace pain in order to truly discover themselves. He is passionate about story telling, the art of communication as well as relationships.
Furthermore, He works closely with his EMG collective that he founded with good friend and producer Tsukudu Moroeng. His biggest achievements thus far is obtaining a degree in Strategic management from Monash university, increasing his fan base through the release of various singles and project releases such as ‘Light Bloomer’ & ‘Shine’. He aims to further expand his fan base to global heights, to perform his music all over the world and to make a difference in people's lives through his artistic endeavors.
