@BennyChill_sa Drops New Single 'African Boujee' With @king_jillz And Announces New Mixtape, 'Waterbreak 2'

Mpumalanga-born rapper, Benny Chill has returned tp the music streets to contribute to new music Friday by dropping off his brand new offering, 'African Boujee'. Benny Chill features Jillz on this single and announces a brand new mixtape on the way. The collaborative mixtape with Jillz is titled, "Waterbreak 2" and is expected to be released on the 27^th of August 2021. The mixtape will consist of eleven songs with features from Blxckie, VegasXCesar, RichLifeKing, Sauwcy, Money Badoo, Flow Jones Jr and Phantom Steeze.

The first single off the collaborative “Waterbreak 2” tape from African trap heavyweights Benny Chill and King Jillz is as danceable as it is imaginative. The lyrical content of song explores the ambition and desire that young africans have. 

The desire to attain wealth in a holistic sense including but not limited to material possessions and excess. The song describes, in jestful detail, the kind of material trimmings that come with having massive wealth. That “Gucci slamba”  or that “fendi galore”. The song on the whole aims to celebrate black wealth and conspicuous consumption. 

On a much important however, the purpose of the song is to simply celebrate the inherent wealth that is embedded in African people from birth. It celebrates the inner wealth that exists outside the “Gucci slamba” or a  “trip to the bay”. The song makes the point that, although we might not all have access to material wealth we still have songs that can make anyone feel like they have it in abundance.
