Hailing from the Eastern Cape and moving to Johustleburg to pursue his studies at AFDA, where he graduated specializing in music and film production, it's safe to say DIBI has had his plans on set from day one. Finding success in this field through his #FreestyleFridays, winning Universal Music Group’s DAMN Kendrick Lamar Freestyle Battle, and performing at Redbull’s Back To The City stage in 2019. Releasing two EPs, Wait Til June & Up Til Now, he started gaining more commercial success. DIBI has had his singles playlisted on national radio, music videos featured on Channel O and MTV Base and being featured on TV shows such as MTV Yo Raps, BET’s Comedy Cypher and most recently an interview appearance on etv’s The Morning Show.
