We head out to the Vaal Triangle as we are introduced to a rapper who has recently stepped into the scene, and is most possibly one to watch.
As he releases the visual interpretation for his 2020 released single "Black Yakuza," 21 year old Naledi SKYES is determined to release quality work. Directed by Naledi SKYES and Moeketsi Mohale, the "Black Yakuza" music video features a cameo appearance from the New York producer TGUT, who also produced the song. “Black Yakuza” features TGUT’s very own signature production style of muddy and eerie backdrops that he first introduced through A$AP Ferg’s singles ‘’Hectic’’ and “Aussie Freaks”. Showcasing SKYES’ ability to merge Zulu and English so effortlessly, only further provides how rap’s energy remains transferable across continents and dialogues.
